F.I.G. Friday #2
I am doubling down on Finding Joy in Gratitude Collective challenge Elisabeth is running and both keeping short joys on the tracker and sharing longer ones here on Fridays this month! (or forever?)
Saturday: Lil Momma and I went out to lunch and had a nice chatty time catching up on what was on our hearts.
Sunday: I made a “fun” cheese melt Hawaiian roll dinner that everyone liked! (This is mostly sparked at a recent run of tween dinner complaints).
Monday: Bella, our senior population Maltese-Yorkie, came upstairs and chilled in my office while I worked! (She always chooses to stay downstairs with the Mr.) (well, and her treats).
Tuesday: I really felt heard by my orthopedic surgeon and the appointment was both validating and forward thinking.
Wednesday: The Mr. and I chatted on the phone while I drove home from work and it was just so nice to talk like humans.
Thursday: Lil Momma texted me a movie of her scrolling through a story she’s writing (slightly inappropriate to use her phone during school, but…)
Friday: It’s library holds pick up day!!!
I hope you found some FIGs this week, even if they were small!
Yay for library holds! I am going on vacation next week so I've been filling up my Kobo - but as usual I misjudged the hold system and now I have like 12 books. Kobo is different from Kindle, too, as taking it off wifi doesn't preclude the library from automatically returning the book. How this works I don't know, but I have about sixteen days to read 12 books. AND GO!
ReplyDeleteThis may be a little ambitious, but I really feel like you can do this! AND GO!!! PS: enjoy your vacation!!
DeleteI need to go to the library. I have holds in and I am out of books...but the weather. It's SO cold and depressing and I just want to stay and work from home and not go outside again until spring. Sorry...that's a fly, not a FIG.
ReplyDeleteI found lots of a FIGs but I'm in a "fly" mood this morning, so reading your list boosted my spirits <3
I'm so glad you felt "seen and heard" - it can be so disheartening to not be understood or believed at the doctor. That is a huge FIG and I'm glad you have a game plan for how to tackle this nagging issue <3
I am here for flies, too! I seem to be surrounded by them, sigh. But, that is what makes the FIGs mean more ;) hopefully, we are more through winter than we have left!
DeleteNom on the cheese melt dinner. Hawaiian rolls and cheese are two of our favorite things in this house.
ReplyDeleteOur old dog claimed Hubs for her person, but she had specific times during the day when she would check in on me at work and I loved it. Now turnabout is fair play, because I'm Doggo's favorite person. She's moved out of the velcro stage a bit and is starting to nap on our bed during the day and hang out with Hubs for a bit.
Lots of figs and some lemons... A musical in NYC with T, a good movie with T, a fun game I played with my students. L turning into a book worm.
ReplyDeleteYep, some days my figs were pretty small, but it's always good to be looking for them. Have fun with your library holds! I have so many books from Christmas still that I haven't used the library in a while, which seems odd. I do love that feeling of going to the library and leaving with a stack of books!
