NaBloPoMo cheer squad

alternate title: NaBloPoMoFOMO

I really considered joining this year. I boomarked San’s post! I made a list of prompts. I started writing in advance. I felt both excited and scared.

Then, I considered how life had been the past few weeks / months. My mind spiraling from work. Navigating so much school drama with Lil Momma. This ankle injury literally dragging me down.

In meeting myself where I’m at, I think my energy may be better placed as a super consistent commenter / informal cheer squad.

My November goals are to:

-Comment on 5+ NaBloPoMo posts each day trying to spread the comments to different - and new! - blogs along with those already on my regular reading list

-Use some of my prompt list to try out some short form posts here 2x a week to help me get in a better flow in 2025

-Look for some glimmers in November. Take pictures when something brings me joy. Be a present person.

I love NaBloPoMo! It’s what made me want to start blogging and leave my lurker corner and engage and make so many wonderful friends. Congrats to all participating and I can’t wait to cheer you on!

  1. Looking forward to reading! I will have to HEAVILY modify my NABloPoMo and just go with the flow. last year I was overwhelmed.

    1. Same, Daria! I love your posts and I'm sure whatever you put out there and wherever it goes content-wise will be exactly what it should be. I so appreciate the effort to attempt it!

  2. We need commenters, too! I feel like we should award gold stars to people who comment regularly. Hmmm...maybe I'll work on coming up with a graphic to award to prolific commenters at the end of the month. Or maybe I'll suggest it to San. LOL. (I would never just give San work, I promise!)

    1. I really just sat with how I think I could either furiously post all month OR I could comment on all the amazing posts everyone else puts out there and support from that side of it - it just felt like the right move for me (and will get me out of my commenting functional freeze, hopefully). Happy NaBloPoMo!

  3. Team Cheer Squad here as well! I enjoyed NaBloPo the year that I did it, and someday I'll be able to do it again...but not now.

The best that I've figured out for commenting is to just do my best. If I've got something to say and the time to say it - done! If not, hopefully that person will understand.

  8. Commenters are the BEST and I love that we have our own little NaBloPoMo cheer squad. How fun is that?!!?

I'm sorry that work and school drama and ankle issues are causing you so much strife. <3 Here's to a much better end of the year!
